This is the PROCEED web site. Its aim is to disseminate the results of the PROCEED project , but we hope that the site will develop beyond this and become a forum for all of us who are interested in public transport innovation! Please contact us for any questions or input to the site.

The PROCEED Project was launched in October 2006. During the next 3 years, we will be conducting research focused on public transport operations in small and medium sized cities and on how to improve its attractiveness to the users, its efficiency and effectiveness. The first step is to map and analyse successful case cities . The analysis will lead to a tool for planning and delivering successful public transport. Some selected cities will do a quality control of the tool by using it in real life. PROCEED will also produce educational materials addressed to students and future transport planners and decision makers in schools and universities.
